Ice House Jazz Initiative

The Ice House Jazz Initiative supports the great American art form of jazz and the musicians who create it. We produce a monthly jazz series at the Charles A. Brown Ice House, featuring some of the best seasoned jazz musicians the region has to offer. We support rising, early career jazz talent and host a youth jazz series to encourage student performance and provide opportunities for students to play with and/or be mentored by professional jazz musicians.

The Ice House Jazz Initiative produces a yearly festival, the “Ice House Jazz Festival and Neurosalon”, a music and arts festival celebrating creativity with featured professional and student performers, a jazz jam, art activities and a discussion about the brain and our creative health. In our third year of production, the Jazz Initiative looks to expand our annual festival by reaching out to the community for sponsorship. We believe jazz at the Ice House offers a unique and valuable niche within the community.

All performances are supported by suggested donations at the door to accommodate all members of the community, regardless of economic status or hardship. The Ice House operates under a 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, and any donations can be tax deductible. The Ice House is an established arts venue, featuring dance, theatre, music and poetry, etc.
